Langley Forklift Training Classes - Forklift are heavy pieces of industrial machines that are utilized in transporting and the handling of merchandise and materials. They are often known as Lift trucks and are found in all kinds of industries. Employees working with and around lift trucks should be trained to recognize dangers associated with the operation of lift trucks.
We offer forklift training classes in order to teach our trainees how to safely utilize a forklift. The theory portion of the program would include instruction and classes on becoming a forklift operator. Trainees will learn their legal responsibilities as forklift operators. Upon finishing the classes, a printed certificate will be given. The certificate needs to be signed by a person authorized to verify that a hands-on evaluation has been completed within the workplace of the trainee.

The daily check is critically essential in the everyday maintenance and operations of a forklift. The forklift can become damage if not properly maintained. Prior to being utilized, lift trucks should be visually inspected as to their general condition. An operational inspection should be carried out in order to determine the machine is working right. The supervisor must be informed if anything is noted which can affect the safe operation of the lift truck.
A check determines if the area is clear of things that can pose a hazard. Any overhead obstructions should be noted. Check that a working fire extinguisher is accessible. Different levels must be inspected, like for instance radiator water, engine oil, fuel, and electrolyte levels in cells. Plugs, batteries and cables must be checked. Unclog vent caps and ensure that bolts, nuts, chains, guards, and hydraulic hose reels are not loose, damaged or missing. A tire check would ensure that wheels are not worn or damaged. Pneumatic tires would require a pressure inspection.
